In my practice of counselling, I endeavour to work collaboratively with clients and promote mindfulness to help explore patterns and / or issues in thoughts, feelings, behaviours, beliefs and somatic experience, with the intention of aiding deeper understanding and healing, and thus improving quality of life. I strive for my work to be consistent with the principals of non-violence and organicity.
Counselling and Psychotherapy can be short or long term in nature, depending on individual needs and objectives. Regardless of the presenting issues, I aim to foster a safe space and relationship that promotes personal healing, growth and change.
I particularly draw upon the theory and principals in the work of Dr Janina Fisher, Dr Pat Ogden, Ron Kurtz, and Dr Bruce Perry when providing individual counselling. I am trained in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and my practice is aligned with their method, mission, vision and core values.

I aim to help people enhance their understanding of the 'self' and the 'other' in the context of their relationship and through a lens of attachment theory, so that repair and healing can be possible. My objective is to create and hold the space for this healing to occur.
In the case where seperation has been decided, seperation counselling can help both individuals understand the contributing factors to the relationship breakdown, so as to help them avoid repeating dysfunctional patterns of the past in future relationships, as well as helping them achieve closure and direction (including regarding parenting, if applicable).
I particularly draw upon the theory and principals in the work of Dr Halko Weiss, Dr Stan Tatkin, Dr Susan Johnson, and Dr's John and Julie Gottman when providing relationship counselling.
I am trained in the H.E.A.R.T model and my practice is aligned with their approach.
