Nick practices within several therapeutic modalities as a Counsellor and Psychotherapist, including but not limited to the principles of sensorimotor psychotherapy, person-centred therapy, psycho-analytic self psychology, and cognitive behavioural therapy. He facilitates mindfulness in his practice and attention towards cognitive, emotional and somatic experience to guide therapeutic direction and processing. Nick’s broad experience and training has guided him to be able to adapt his eclectic skill-set to people’s unique personal needs in therapy.
With respect and adherence to the principals of attachment theory, Nick views close relationships as important areas of focus in therapy, given their typical influence on people’s (i) learned patterns of thinking, feeling, and doing, (ii) emotional health, and (iii) progressively developed values, morals and beliefs. In addition to nurturing connections with people, he focuses on providing understanding, insight, validation and support. Nick's extensive qualifications ensures his practice is evidenced based, holistic, strengths and solution-focused.
